I've never played any of the games in this series, but I've always heard good things. So in that regard, I guess this is good news.
EDIT: Nevermind, trollface laughs at us all.
We all just got trolled.
[UPDATE] Turns out that Hudson won't be making a new entry in the Bloody Roar series after all. This became apparent when a new "screen shot" was released of the game on the same twitter page.
[ORIGINAL POST] You may not have asked for it, but Hudson announced via their Twitter page that Bloody Roar 5 is indeed in development. The series, which made its debut in 1997, has been dormant since Bloody Roar 4’s 2003 release. At this point no further details are known, but the tag #BloodyRoarProject2012 suggest that we may see fighting animals sometime next year.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
