Good start man! A lot of great titles coming out this week! I'm so pumped for RAGE and I really want to try that Spider-Man game. I like Spider-Man games ever since Ultimate Spider-Man (the Xbox game, not the comic book series). I was really looking forward to Dark Souls but now, due to the conversation among the staff, I think I need to look into that game more. Don't want to break my controller!
New Release Round-Up: The Week of October 3, 2011
A good week for shooter fans and masochists.
October is here, and with it, we venture ever closer to the huge holiday game release schedule.
It’s been a long, long time since id has released a game, and the anticipation for Rage has reached a fever pitch. Gamers can explore a vast wasteland either on foot or inside a sweet dune buggy when it releases for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on Tuesday.
If blasting mutants isn’t quite your style, perhaps Dark Souls (360 and PS3) is the game you’re waiting for this week. The follow up to From Software’s surprise 2009 hit Demon’s Souls looks to be even more punishing and epic than its predecessor. Hopefully you pre-ordered it, as the game is already selling out.
In this week’s “sent to die” category, we have Spider-Man: The Edge of Time (360, PS3, Wii, DS, 3DS). Like last week’s release of X-Men: Destiny, this game starring two versions of the Webhead has quietly shipped to stores. You can check out the most recent trailer right here at PixlBit.
Fancy a game of hoops? Of course you do. Good thing that NBA 2K12 comes out this week for pretty much everything you could imagine. Er, that would be 360, PS3, Wii, PC, 3DS, PSP, and DS.
For you 3DS owners, you can buy Tetris: Axis right now, as it was released on Sunday.
On the digital front, PSN is getting Eufloria, as well as the PSOne Classic Chrono Trigger. The arcade offering for XBLA this week is Orcs Must Die. Must they?
