UPDATE: "Irate" Customer Threatens Best Buy Employees, Responds
Man threatens employee after messing up his Modern Warfare 3 pre-order.
In now the second story about Modern Warfare violence, a man in Colorado became very angry after his local Best Buy screwed up his Modern Warfare 3 pre-order. Lomorin Sar, a 31-year-old man, started asking employees what time they were done working so he could shoot them in the parking lot as they left. Then, for good measure, he threatened to blow up the store.
This was after the employees had offered a gift card or a free upgrade to the Hardened Edition of the game in response to their mistake. The employees called the police and he was arrested while trying to leave the store for "disorderly conduct". "Investigating officers issued a criminal summons to a man who threatened to carry out his own version of Modern Warfare at the electronics store," Detective Bob Friel told the Aurora Sentinel. "Fortunately, this situation did not end in violence."
Lomorin Sar, the man in question, later told 9news.com, "I put my hands up to my head and I'm like, 'God, now I'm mad.' I said, 'I am so pissed right now I can blow this place up'. I wasn't gonna blow it up or anything like that. It's just something you say when you get mad, you know what I mean? But they're like empty threats. You can't get in trouble for just saying you're gonna bomb a building." He goes on to say he later bought a copy at a nearby Walmart without trouble.
