Xbox 360 Update Tomorrow will Have Some Content Missing
YouTube and TV providers missing the update's launch.
The big Xbox 360 fall dashboard update is finally coming out tomorrow and I personally blame my OCD tendencies for being so excited for it. Announced this year at E3 2011, the update includes Bing searching, YouTube, Live TV and EPIX, among other features. A UFC app was also announced but we know that it's been delayed to December 20 instead of its original date of December 1. Now it seems that the dashboard update will be missing a lot of the announced apps, at least at launch.
The apps that will be included tomorrow in addition to what's already available are EPIX and The Today Show. Some other features, such as the Kinect functionality, searching and the new Metro layout will be present, but those wanting VEVO, YouTube, and Live TV service will have to wait until later this month.
One feature that will be included is MLB.TV, which was announced for the first time today. Those who subscribe to MLB.TV will be able to watch MLB games in HD on-demand on their Xbox 360. A full schedule of all of the content rolling out is listed below:
