New Xbox Dashboard Launch Plagued With Problems

The new update was a shaky one.

The rollout of the new Xbox 360 Dashboard has been rough. After being delayed until late last night, various problems have been reported by Xbox 360 users. Microsoft's Major Nelson stated on his twitter account that Microsoft is working on fixing the problems users are having. As of now, it appears that most, if not all of the issues have been resolved.

The most prevalent problem appears to be users being unable to connect to Xbox Live. Major Nelson directed users to an Xbox Live status page for restoration updates on the service. The most damaging problem some unfortunate users are experiencing is bricked consoles, in that some users were unable to use their 360s at all.

In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
