UFC Now Available On Xbox Live

Dailymotion and VUDU also available to download.

Major Nelson posted a blog today announcing the release of several new apps available on Xbox Live. As part of a continuing effort to build the console into a multimedia center, Microsoft has now released UFC on Xbox Live. This new app will allow users to watch UFC matches on their Xbox 360 in full HD.

In addition, Dailymotion and VUDU, Wal-Mart's online service, are also available for download. Microsoft is promising more content set to be released early next year, including MLB.TV. Below is a full list of all the apps now available in all regions.

In addition, on December 15th Microsoft and Orange announced that Orange TV is coming to Xbox LIVE in France, starting in Spring 2012. Thirty Orange TV channels will initially be available, including the major channels available in the French market. Later in the year, “catch-up” TV and Orange’s video on demand catalog will also be available.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
