Mass Effect 3 Figures Come With DLC
Pump up your multiplayer squad with your toys!
EA is a company that knows how to best leverage their brands, and with Mass Effect 3 on the way, we’re already seeing the cross promotion blitz. If you played the demo for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning you’ve already unlocked some gear for the conclusion of Commander Shepard’s story. You’ll grab some more swag for playing through the Mass Effect 3 demo that’s coming on February 14. But the hardest of the hardcore fans have something special to open their wallets for: new action figures complete with DLC.
Series 2 of the popular action figure line contains Miranda, Garrus, Mordin, and Legion. The packaging reflects the Mass Effect 3 title, and the figures stand approximately 7” tall. They are every bit as detailed as the first series, which contained Shepard, Thane, Grunt, and Tali. But series 2 has something a little special in each package in the form of multiplayer DLC for Mass Effect 3.
According to the BioWare store, the DLC is slightly randomized, and can include everything from new weapons to characters. If you haven’t been following closely, the co-op multiplayer of ME 3 is a separate set of missions from the core story, but progress made in the co-op can affect your “Galactic Readiness” level for the battle against the Reapers. Little is known about the co-op mode, but one of the possible prizes in the DLC can be character “boosts” to make your squad stronger in multiplayer. It should be noted that the action figure DLC is only compatible with Xbox 360 and PC.
