Looks like a slick piece of machinery. But how are they going to release additional titles? Wonder if it will come stateside?

The most important question: will it have Shock Troopers? For those who don't know, Shock Troopers is a top down shooter with a great cast of characters, who had their own special weapons. It came out for Neo Geo in the mid 90's, its a fun little romp.

I adore Neo Geo. I really want this. I think the SD card slot and the 2 GB internal memory will be how you get more games, although I don't know if SNK will have a online store or something.

So they are going to announce this right smack dab in the middle of Nintendo's 3DS hot streak and the Vita launch?  This might be more of a leak.

Also interesting, the link to the source material (per the andriasang article) on famicom plaza appears to be dead.  I wonder if SNK pulled it?

Yea, for their own good (and also my own), I'd rather see them have their own downloadable channel on 3DS. I really wonder what other companies would pledge their support to SNK, but still, competition will be fun.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Review

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
