The Negotiator Coming to DS in Japan

This dramatic simulation is based off the popular Japanese TV drama.

The Negotiator is a popular Japanese tv drama which is currently entering its second season and will even be receiving a movie adaptation which will be coming to theaters in February of 2010.

Currently, Alpha Unit is developing a DS title based entirely around the characters and premise of the tv show. Players may be interested to know that the show's characters won’t be digitally represented, rather a live action version of the character will be used instead.

Players will control Reiko Usagi, portrayed by the Japanese actress Ryoko Yonekura, a member of the SIT (Special Investigation Team) whose job includes negotiating and making sure conflicts end peacefully. There will be several scenarios for players to work through where players will be required to make negotiations, conduct investigations, and make contact with hostage holders.

The Negotiator for DS is expected to release in Japan this December.
