Zynga Launching Their Own Gaming Platform

Zynga wants its own online portal.

Zynga has had some legal troubles recently as well as a drop in shares. However, the company has plans to release their titles via its own online portal. Currently scheduled to go into beta later this month on Zynga's website, the company hopes to include third party content as well as FarmVille, Words with Friends and its other games.

Mobscience and Row Sham Bow, two other Facebook games developers, have already signed on to the new service. Zynga is promising full access to their framework to any third party who would like their products offer in the new games portal in exchange for a cut of the virtual items sold.

Zynga will still offer its games on Facebook and as the microtransactions will be in Facebook credits, the social network site will still see a revenue stream either direct or from Zynga's new service.
