Forza Horizon Announced For 2012

This iteration in the Forza series will be a collaborative effort.

Turn 10 Studios announced today that Forza Horizon, the fifth installment in the Forza racing series, will be released this fall. The game will be a collaborative effort between Turn 10 Studios and the studio's development partner Playground Games, a new UK-based developer comprised of ex-employees of development teams at Codemasters, Bizarre Creations and more.

The title was unveiled at Microsoft's Spring Showcase last week in San Francisco but no details were discussed. This is the first Forza game to be released the year after the previous release, as typically they are bi-yearly. Turn 10 hopes this collaboration will speed up the process and allow for the series to move in a new direction.

A trailer was released and it indicates a move towards a style of gameplay similiar to the Dirt and Need for Speed series. That trailer can be seen below. Thanks to G4 for the story.
