Ni no Kuni: The Another World Has Largest DS Cartridge Ever

The memory capacity for the Ni No Kuni cartridge comes in at a staggering 4GB.

The upcoming RPG Ni no Kuni: The Another World, by Level 5 and Studio Ghibli, is said to be the biggest DS cartridge ever released. The game’s final cartridge will comprise of a specially made high density 4GB card: more than double the average UMD disk which is limited to only 1.8GB of space.

Apparently one reason for such a large usage of memory is the game’s fully orchestrated soundtrack, composed by Joe Hisaishi, best known for his work with animator Hayao Miyazaki.
