PSN Content Now on Amazon

Players receive a code that they can use for themselves or gift to a friend.

Beginning today, Amazon.com is officially offering content for the Playstation Network, a service Amazon has been providing for both XBLA and WiiWare for some time.

Gamers can now go straight to Amazon to purchase PSN games and add-ons for their PS3 and PSP. Upon payment, consumers will receive a code that they can use to either unlock the content for themselves, or gift to a friend.

Peter Dille, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the PlayStation Network comments, “We are excited to team with Amazon.com to expand our reach with Amazon's market leading ability to target current and future PlayStation consumers." According to Dille, “With more than 600 million pieces of content downloaded to date, consumers are turning to PlayStation Network more than ever for digitally distributed entertainment content."
