Austrailia Might Get Edited Left 4 Dead 2

The shooter was rejected by the Australia ratings board.

Valve's Gabe Newell revealed that Left 4 Dead 2 was rejected by the Australia Classification Board on the grounds of high impact violence not suitable for people under the age of 18, according to Kotaku Australia.

They are putting together an edited version of the upcoming release, although they still hope to appeal and get the original version of Left 4 Dead 2 out everywhere.

"It's a game for adults," said Newell. "But we're aware that different countries have different restrictions, and we want to make the choices that make the game the most fun for that country."

Unfortunately, the board won't report back on the appeal until October 22, which is dangerously close to Left 4 Dead 2's November release date.
