Mass Effect 3: Rebellion Pack DLC Confirmed
More Free Mass Effect 3 DLC Incoming.
Confirming the rumors that leaked out a few weeks ago, Mass Effect 3's next multiplayer focused DLC entitled: Rebellion is confirmed for release on Tuesday, May 29th (or Wednesday, May 30th for Europe PSN users) for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Best part about this DLC is that it is again free of charge, assuming you already have activated your Mass Effect 3 online pass.
This pack comes jam packed with content. First of which are two brand new maps. Firebase Jade is described as a jungle reservoir, and the Asari homeworld Thessia makes a debut on the map Firebase Goddess. Along with the new maps, three new weapons can be obtained via in-game reinforcement packs. These are the Cerberus Harrier Assault Rifle, the Reegar Carbine Shotgun, and the Krysae Sniper Rifle. Some unspecified new equipment and consumables will be available as well.
Rounding out the new maps and weapons comes six brand new classes. The first two, come in the form of the Male Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator. While players have had access to the female Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator since the launch of the game, the Male versions come with brand new abilities, like the Arc Grenade and Tactical Scan. The next two are the Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel. This new race also comes with some unique class skills, like the Bloodlust ability of the Vorcha Soldier, and the Flamer skill of the Vorcha Sentinel. Lastly there is the Ex-Cerberus Adept and Vanguard. These former adversaries have joined the fight against the reapers and come with a few new abilities as well, like the Lash ability held by the Ex-Cerberus Vanguard and the Smash ability held by the Adept.
More DLC is always welcome, and it looks like Mass Effect 3 fans have a reason to keep resisting the Reaper threat. Tell us what you think in the comments below!
