Warner Brothers and NeatherRealm Reveal Injustice: Gods Among Us

Brand New Fighting Game Featuring DC Comics Finest.

Continuing the slew of new fighters being introduced this generation, Warner Brothers and NeatherRealm, the makers of the Mortal Kombat series, have announced Injustice: Gods Among Us. This fighter is completely based around the characters within the DC Comics universe and pits them against each other in what are bound to be pretty epic battles. Based on the debut trailer of the game, it seems as if something has happened to the DC Heroes which turns them evil in some way, making them a threat to everyone.

An interview with Ed Boon, co-creator of Mortal Kombat, states that one of the games main features will be within the usage of the environment during a match. Characters like Wonder Woman and Superman will be able to use certian objects, like cars, differently than someone like Batman would for example.

Aside from Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, characters like Solomon Grundy, The Flash, Lex Luthor and Harley Quinn have been spotted in the trailer. Many more are to be expected.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is slated to launch in 2013 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

Good stuff: Looks good, the Batsuit is awesome, the environmental stuff is really cool, and if they use a SIMILAR (not the same) combat system as Mortal Kombat, this will be awesome. Also, really digging how Harley Quinn looks and her dual pistols.

Bad stuff: Premise is basically the same as MK vs DCU but without the realm stuff and the name of the title is extremely vague and bland. How would I know this has anything to do with DC?

Hot Story

In Memory of Michael Alvarado

When 1up started the process of shutting down, there was one person who seemed to lead to charge to congregate the community in a single place. After his first visit here, it wasn't long before a slew of new members arrived. The site came alive and the real story of PixlBit began - the one that involves all of you. The person I'm referring to is, of course, Michael Alvarado, otherwise known as Michael117.
