Timesplitters Developers Working On New Game

The studio formerly known as Free Radical is working on a new IP.

Free Radical, best known for the Timesplitters series, was in danger of shutting down before they were bought by Crytek earlier this year and renamed Crytek UK.

According to an article in the UK gaming magazine Develop, they are working on a new IP that they hope will become a "defining game series."

"The opportunity to make any kind of original [first-person shooter] genre game where we get to focus on the quality of both the multiplayer and single player experience is what drives people at the studio," said Karl Hilton, Crytek UK studio manager.

The team was working on Timesplitters 4 before they were bought by Crytek, although the state of that game is currently unknown.
