Video of a Never Released Road Rash Title

The motorcycle racing series never made it to a current generation home console, but here's what it may have looked like if it had.

Road Rash is a motorcycle racing series published by EA, that was first released back in 1991 for the Sega Genesis. Between 1991 and 1999, six other titles were released into the series including one for the Sega CD, Sega Master System, and Playstation. Later in 2004, the GBA received its own version of the game and finally two of the series' sequels were featured in the PSP title, EA Replay Collection.

Apparently the Road Rash series was, at some point, intended to grace the current console generation with its presence, but never seemed to make it past the drawing board. A three-year-old video from Superannuation gives gamers a "Pre-Vis" look at what could have potentially been the newest installment in the series.

Fans of the series may not have to give up hope too soon though, since a recent trademark filing by EA, was discovered regarding the title "Road Rash."

While we sit and wait for news of the potential addition to the Road Rash series, enjoy the pre-development video of the unreleased Road Rash below.

In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
