Pay Whatever You Want for World of Goo

In celebration of World of Goo's one year anniversary, 2D Boy is holding a special sale.

World of Goo is a physics-based puzzle game that released last year for WiiWare, PC, Mac, and Linux. The game was created by independent developer 2D Boy, a collaboration of two former EA employees.

World of Goo was met with critical acclaim across the board, earning waves of perfect scores, and Game of the Year awards.

For those who haven't had the opportunity to experience World of Goo for themselves, 2D Boy is hosting an exclusive sale for the game in honor of its one-year anniversary. Through this sale, gamers may purchase the game for whatever they think it's worth, whether it be one penny, or one hundred dollars. However it is worth noting that this sale only applies to the PC, Mac, and Linux versions of the game.

Anyone who wishes to name their price for World of Goo may do so on the 2D Boy website and should do so soon since the offer ends on October 19. However be forewarned that due to apparent high traffic volumes, getting to the website may require some patience.

Funny enough I just bought the disc-based version of this game the other day. Yeah, I have the WiiWare version, but I couldn't turn down one of my favorite games of the year on a disc.

If you haven't bought this yet, go do so now ... and don't be a cheapskate, give these guys what they deserve. No, that amount is not a penny, I know what you were thinking.

Taking the In Rainbows tactic.... I'm curious as to how high people will go for it.

Is it okay to give them a buck if I already bought it on WiiWare?
