BioWare Entertains the Idea of Another Jade Empire

BioWare loves Jade Empire and would like to see it return.

BioWare lead designer Mike Laidlaw spoke fondly of Jade Empire, even hinting at another game in the series.

However, Laidlaw made sure to clarify in an interview with Strategy Informer that the affection he shares for Jade Empire with fellow staffers is not on the slate yet. "We will certainly announce if it's going to be coming out," he said.

Right now BioWare is focused on Dragon Age, set to be released on November 3, and Mass Effect 2, set to be released on February 1, 2010. Jade Empire fans will most likely have to wait until then to see if any news on the game surfaces.

I never got the chance to play Jade Empire, but I wouldn't mind playing a second iteration of that game if they make it as good as Mass Effect or the have yet to play Dragon Age but think it's going to be great too.
