Tales of Vesperia 2 is a Consideration for Namco Bandai

This desire is revealed during a talk session for the release of the movie adaptation for Tales of Vesperia.

Tales of Vesperia is the tenth addition to the Namco Bandai's Tales series, which released back in 2008 for North America. The RPG used an advanced battle system superior to its predecessor, Tales of the Abyss, called the Evolved Flex-Range Linear Motion Battle System. Tales of Vesperia brought many new concepts to the series, while borrowing from many of its predecessors. It received favorable reviews, earning a 35/40 from Famitsu, and was nominated for several gaming awards.

A movie adaptation for Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike, recently released in Japan, and in celebration Namco Bandai held a creator talk session at the Kadokawa Cinema theater in Shinjuku. The attendance list included Namco Bandai Games general manager Makoto Yoshizumi, and Vesperia producer Yoshito Higuchi.

During the talk session a participant asked Yoshizumi about a possible Tales of Vesperia game sequel, to which Yoshizumi quipped, "Don't act like a fan!"He then continued on a more serious note to say, "It appears that [within Namco Bandai] there's a desire to make part 2…We're thinking about it."

For fans of the movie adaptation as well, Yoshizuma also stated that they are considering the possibilities of creating another, although he stated, "I don't know when it will happen, but we'd like to show [these games] in video form."
