Post Service Worker Caught Stealing GameFly Games

Over 2,000 in total were stolen in the Philadelphia area.

Reginald Johnson, a former 34-year-old USPS worker, admitted in court Thursday to stealing 2,200 video games from the GameFly mail service.

Johnson was caught in a surveillance mission by the Office of Inspector General in September 2008. Complaints about missing games started in late 2007, sparking the investigation.

When caught, federal agents found 81 GameFly mailings inside the duffel bag on his person and another 79 in a backpack in his personal SUV.

The court approximates that Johnson's stolen goods amount to $86,000, which Johnson will serve a total of 12-18 months in prison. Johnson will be sentenced by Judge Berle M. Schiller on January 13, 2009.

The person I'm referring to is, of course, Michael Alvarado, otherwise known as Michael117.
