First Details on Madden NFL 10's Second Title Update

Changes include defensive pursuit angles, throwing out of a sack, and more.

EA Sports pulled the veil on the forthcoming Madden NFL 10 title update for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and discussed some of the preliminary ideas for it.

Defensive pursuit angles will be fine-tuned, especially in Flat Zone coverage where defenders would drop their man when another receiver came into their zone.

Also, throwing out of a sack will be touched up so quarterback's trajectory is now lower so it prevents more interceptions. CPU quarterbacks will be toned down a little bit so they can be more easily sacked.

The receiving game is slated to get cleaned up a bit so the ball doesn't clip through a player during a dropped pass and receivers don't get credit for catching a ball while only having one foot inbounds.

The Wildcat formation will be toned down as now running backs make a move when they receive the snap and can't just take off running. The same goes for certain cases when the quarterback is in Shotgun formation.

There are a ton of other changes and you can get the full details here.
