Blu-Ray Add-On Confirmed For Xbox 360

After the failed HD-DVD add-on it appears Microsoft is endorsing the winning platform.

Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, confirmed in an interview with Gizmodo, that the Xbox 360 is slated to receive a Blu-Ray add-on similar to the HD-DVD add-on that was offered not too long ago.

Ballmer was asked if Microsoft planned to incorporate the drive into the machine to which Ballmer responded, "I don't know if we need to put Blu-ray in there—you'll be able to get Blu-ray drives as accessories."

There was no time frame given for when the add-on would be available, but more information should be available soon.
