Toki Being Remade For XBLA and PC

An HD remake of the classic arcade game is coming soon.

Toki is best known as a run-and-gun platformer originally released for the Arcade. The game later received a port to all of the relevant consoles of the 80s.

A new French company, Golgoth has picked up the rights to the unique title and are creating an HD remake of the original game. It features hand-drawn animation, conjuring thoughts of Wario Land: Shake It!, and vastly improves on the original look-and-feel of the Arcade version of the title.

The game is coming to both Windows Live Games for PC and XBLA, though Golgoth Studios hasn't issued a release date for the title.

Damn, this game looks gorgeous. I love that detailed hand-drawn style. Looked great in Wario Land and will likely look even better here in HD.
