Modern Warfare 2 to Feature Third Person Mode

Players can now have an out of body experience in the upcoming shooter.

Yesterday, a YouTube video surfaced depicting Modern Warfare 2 being played in a special third person mode in multiplayer. Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling later revealed to Kotaku that the mode will be restricted to multiplayer mode.

Players will now have three choices in regards to their view when playing any of the game's multiplayer modes. The game will feature a standard first person view, a limited-HUD first person view, and the new third person perspective.

Bowling finish by explaining that "when you're in a 3rd Person playlist you can't toggle in and out, you're always in 3rd person." He finished by stating, "you can't toggle 3rd person view on or off in a standard game type either, people in 3rd person can't play with people in 1st person, they're entirely different game modes. This is just another way to play the game."
