Darkside Chronicles Collector's Edition to Be Offered in Japan

The most hardcore of Resident Evil fans are being targeted with this special edition.

Today, Capcom announced that it would be offering a special Collector's Edition of their upcoming title, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, a follow-up to their first Wii on-rails shooter, Umbrella Chronicles.

The title will feature a compilation CD with orchestral arrangements of classic series songs, as well as a DVD of promotional movies and other footage and a reversible disc jacket.

The pack will retail for a pricey ¥8,390 ($91.29) when the game launches on January 14 in Japan.

It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over.
