So the games are not in chronological order...
Ubisoft Talks Potential Assassin's Creed III Locations
The series has been to the Middle East and now Europe, so where will it go next?
The first Assassin's Creed was best known for its expansive locales that allowed players to run and climb around however they saw fit.
While the gameplay itself is a key component of the title, the environment has become just as essential. Assassin's Creed brought gamers to the ancient cities of Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus on a quest to destroy the Knights Templar. The upcoming sequel to the series, Assassin's Creed II, brings players to Venice where they will be able to interact with their environment in many ways, including swimming in the Venetian canals.
So, when it comes to Assassin's Creed III, many are curious as to what the next geographical setting will be. In a recent interview with the German gaming television show PLAY'D, Philippe Bergeron of Ubisoft gave his personal opinion about where he would like to see the series go next.
According to Bergeron, "There are two things that come to mind: There is medieval Europe, which would be very interesting trying to play a King Arthur story line. Another one that is a personal favorite of a lot of people on the floor is feudal Japan, which is something that would be very interesting just culturally to discover and I think also to make players discover as well."
Neither of these ideas are concrete at the moment, however they provide potential insight as to what gamers may expect from Assassin's Creed III.
