Amazon's newest promotion rewards consumers purchasing video games.
A promotional video game deal is currently under way, courtesy of Amazon. Gamers will get cash back if they spend a certain amount of money.
This promotion is only available for a very limited time and will expire on October 31 at midnight. The deal works by purchasing $80 worth of video games, and in return, Amazon will reward you with a $40 Amazon gift card.
Not all video game titles are available for the promotion, Amazon has a particular list of eligible titles. Gamers will be happy to know that there is no shortage of big name titles on the list. In fact, there are over 600 games to choose from, including Uncharted 2, Wii Fit Plus, Brutal Legend, and Borderlands amongst others.
Those who take advantage of this deal will receive their $40 Amazon credit within seven business days of the transaction and will have until December 31, 2009 at midnight to cash the credit in.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
