PlayStation 3 Bayonetta Outsells Xbox 360 Version in Japan

First day sales figures indicate a large discrepancy.

Early reports indicate that the PlayStation 3 version of the game has sold double what the Xbox 360 version sold. After a single day of sales, the PlayStation 3 version has sold 93,000 copies while the Xbox 360 versions has sold 45,000.

Even though the PlayStation 3 version is said to be inferior, the install base of the PS3 and general opinion of the Xbox 360 likely bolstered sales for Sony's home console.

Platinum has also released a video detailing a variety of Bayonetta character designs as well as in-game footage. According to the video, over 100 designs for the enticing character were created before the team settled on the final design.

The trailer is available below.
