Thor and Captain America Games Due Out in 2011

A Marvel earnings report reveals that both titles are currently in development.

Over two years ago, Sega announced that they were currently developing two titles based on the Marvel characters Captain America and Thor.

Over the past few years, there hasn't been word regarding either of the games, until a recent posting regarding Marvel's third-quarter earnings. The report gives the gaming world some insight into what is going on with the two titles.

According to the earnings report, Thor is scheduled for a May 2011 release, and Captain America is scheduled for a July 2011 release, both to still be published by Sega.

Considering Marvel's Chairman, Morton Handel stated in the report, "we are making solid progress on the development and pre-production of our Thor, The First Avenger: Captain America and The Avengers feature film projects," it is probably that both of these titles will release alongside their complementary feature films.

Neither Marvel or Sega have yet to officially release any statement or information regarding the two titles.
