Miyamoto and Reggie Talk Sales and the New Zelda

Control details are confirmed, but the release date is still unknown.

Game Trailers recently had the opportunity to speak with both Reggie and Miyamoto about the upcoming holiday season, expected sales figures, and next year's game release line-up.

In the first portion of the interview, Reggie discussed the effectiveness of the Wii price cut, as well as the upcoming titles due for release this holiday season. When discussing the competition ahead of them in the next few months Reggie stated that he was not concerned about his competitors' upcoming titles. In fact, Reggie went as far to state that New Super Mario Bros Wii will outsell all of the different Modern Warfare 2 versions combined.

Towards the end of the interview Reggie noted that Nintendo is not willing to pin a 2010 release date on the upcoming Wii Zelda. He merely stated, "We'll see how it continues to develop."

Considering the gaming world has yet to receive an official name, or any further details regarding the title, it is not surprising that it might not be coming next year. However, Miyamoto did confirm that they are "working on adding Wii MotionPlus functionality."
