Lufia Sequel Unveiled By Famitsu

Those familiar with the Taito developed Super Nintendo games will be pleased to hear that a sequel is in the works.

Back in 1993, Taito released an RPG for the Super Famicom titled Estpolis Denki - known in the US as, Lufia & the Fortress of Doom. According to a Famitsu.com posting, Square Enix is creating a sequel to the classic title.

The original development team will be working on the sequel, with Square Enix, owner of Taito, publishing it. Currently, no other details about the game are known, but more will be made available next week when the next issue of Famitsu Weekly is released on November 19.

Only the title, Estpolis, and the piece of artwork featured below have been released at this time.
