Rise of the Pirate God Releases Next Month
The Tales of Monkey Island series will be ending very soon.
Telltale Games' Tales of Monkey Island series is coming close to completion. According to the company, the final chapter is set to release on December 8.
The fifth, and last chapter of the story, entitled Rise of the Pirate God, is garnering some speculation in regards to the plot due to an ominous image released by Telltale.
The image, teasing the phrase "Guybrush Threepwood Rest in Peace?" has many fans debating what could possibly happen. Telltale Games themselves poses the question, "Has our piratey hero met an untimely end at the hands of his nemesis?" Others feel that, since Tales of Monkey Island is Telltale Games most successful title to date, that perhaps this means an unforeseen extension upon the series.
Fans will be able to grab the title come December on the Telltale Games website, as well as through Steam. The release date of the WiiWare version is still unknown.
