New Professor Layton Game Announced

Famitsu leaks the news.

The Professor Layton series has been around for many years now with a total of four titles released in Japan, and two in North America.

Today Layton fans may be excited to learn that Famitsu has leaked the existence of a fifth installment to the series.

Entitled Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, the game is the second in the trilogy alongside Professor Layton and the Devil's Flute, which releases in Japan tomorrow.

According to Andrisang, the plot has something to do with the mask worn by the villain in Devil's Flute. Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask is also expected to feature many differences from its predecessor.

Level-5 has yet to make an official announcement, but Famitsu did manage to gather that Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask is planned to release in Japan during Q3 of 2010.
