Good riddance, I say. Glad to see that IW is actually responding to their fans. I guess we'll see how lasting this initiative is.
Modern Warfare 2 PC Cheaters Banned
2,500 cheaters lost their playing privileges.
Some disgruntled Modern Warfare 2 PC owners recently took matters into their own hands by creating a video, detailing some of the dishonest multiplayer matches that have been occurring.
A link to the video was later posted on Twitter by the member toncijukic, along with a comment that read, "You should really try to take care of cheaters in MW2. It’s getting ridiculous." The comment was directed at Robert Bowling, the Creative Strategist for Infinity Ward who promptly responded to the matter.
In his Twitter reply, Bowling detailed that 2,500 known cheaters would be receiving a ban on Steam.
The video that was linked-in on the Twitter complaint can be viewed below, detailing several of the common cheats used to gain the unfair advantage in online play.
