Punchers Impact Gets Free Radical Talent

The new French studio pulls some former employees of Free Radical into their ranks.

Recently the French publisher Mindscape opened a new online-oriented studio named Punchers Impact. The studio, which is comprised of around forty workers, includes some key talent from Free Radical, the minds behind Timesplitters who nearly closed down earlier this year.

The new studio is currently hard at work on an unnamed title for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, which is expected to release during Q1 of 2010.

Guillaume Descamps, the studio director of Punchers Impact commented, "I am confident about the challenges that the team have taken on and I can’t wait to unveil our first project.”

Mindscape managing director Thierry Bensoussan added, "By building a pool of creative talent within a single studio, we’re ensuring that Punchers Impact has solid financial foundations allowing it to focus on developing innovative projects."
