Photo Fighter X Puts Players in the Game

A new DSi title allows players to customize their play experience in a unique way.

A new DSi title is coming to Japan next week, one that literally puts players inside of the game.

Photo Fighter X allows players to create nearly every aspect of the game using pictures that they will take themselves. Backgrounds, projectiles, and special moves are some examples of in-game elements players can customize with pictures.

The customization element of this title only broadens, as players are allowed to set up moves and record their own sound effects.

Photo Fighter X contains a single players campaign in addition to a multiplayer one. In the solo campaign, combat will resemble a classic side-scrolling beat-em-up, with the ultimate goal being to defeat 100 enemies.

Controlling the game between two players only requires one DS, where player one will use the D-Pad and the second player will use the buttons. A combination between a DS trigger and a direction/button creates the movesets and special moves for the game.

Photo Fighter X will release in Japan on December 16, for 200 Nintendo Points.
