ZeniMax Obtains Rights to Publish RAGE

EA will no longer be publishing the upcoming id title.

ZeniMax announced today that they have obtained the rights to publish RAGE, a game developed by their recent acquisition, id Software. The game will be published by Bethesda Softworks, a subsidiary of ZeniMax. Originally the game was set to be published and marketed by EA.

Earlier this year, when ZeniMax purchased id they agreed to honor the existing contracts that id held with both EA and Activision.

According to ZeniMax, the transfer in publishing rights will have no effect on the development of the upcoming shooter.
