Apologies From PixlBit

I promise, we didn't abandon ship.

Hey guys, Nick here. Just wanted to issue a formal apology for the lack of updates this past week. With the impending holiday season, things have been quite hectic outside of the site.

While this isn't a great excuse, unfortunately, it has been reality. We will return to our regular selves in the coming week as well as all weeks going forward.

Before year end we'll be rolling out some new features, so stick with us and we promise we'll liven the place up. In addition, hopefully the PixlBit viewing family will be growing with our upcoming Metacritic listing.

Thanks for sticking with us guys, and we'll rock it out again soon.

You shouldn't have to apologize. Most, if not all, sites are going through a Holiday rut where there's either too much to cover or nothing at all. News have been slow since people are taking a break. Again, no worries.

Besides, you guys still have excellent features to offer us so as long as those are up everything should be fine.

Thanks Pedro! Yeah it's a tough season overall for everyone, especially for sites like NWR and PixlBit where all of the members are essentially volunteers.

You guys are really doing a great job over at NWR, though. Especially you man, I've seen your name attached to a massive number of news stories and reviews. Keep up the good work!

Santa gets stuff made for like billions of kids this time of year, I don't see him making excuses

Nick: Thanks, dude! You guys are also doing a great job despite being a small team. I really loved your Holiday shopping guide feature. Very informative, fair and balanced.

Zap: That's because Santa ain't real, Zap. ;)

Zap: Hahaha, then again Santa only works one day of the year and practically has the rest of the year off.

Pedro: I agree with Nick, you and Andy are cleaning house and keeping NWR in great shape! Excellent job.

I think Zap is on to something here. If I'm Santa, then I guess I need more elves to make stuff for me...

If you're really Saint Nick [DiMola], then I shall submit a formal complaint to Mrs. Claus since I saw nothing under the virtual Nintendo Wii tree on X-mas or my birthday (today) :P.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Review

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
