Review Rewinds: PixlBit's Latest Feature

After much annoyance from Chessa, we've finally added a brand new feature.

It wasn't too long after starting PixlBit that Chessa came up with the idea of a special review with a unique focus. That idea has been evolved to what we are presenting today as a Review Rewind.

The purpose of a Review Rewind is to explore either a game released earlier this generation after all the hype has died down, or to revisit much older titles that are near and dear to our hearts.

Each title reviewed will be approached in a unique manner decided entirely by the author of the review. Some will be long, others will be short, but they should all offer an interesting look at an older title.

Our first Review Rewind comes courtesy of Sam Wakefield and is written on this generation's God of War: Chains of Olympus.

Check it out here. Leave Sam some feedback, and of course feel free to leave some feedback here on the feature. If you have any games you'd love for us to revisit either shoot us an email, or let us know in the comment section below.

That was actually going to be something else, but after a few trial runs it was obvious that the intended result just wasn't there. We might try it again in the future and release the results, but for now we have it backburnered.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Review

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
