Akira Yamaoka Joins Grasshopper Manufacture

After leaving Konami, the famed video game composer joins Suda 51's quirky company.

In December news broke out that Akira Yamaoka, famous for the Silent Hill soundtracks, left Konami.

1UP has recently translated a Famitsu interview with Suda 51 and Akira Yamaoka. The interview stated that Yamaoka has joined Grasshopper Manufacture to create music for their current and upcoming projects. Yamaoka also expressed that he would like to use his game production skills in future projects.

Yamaoka's first project is fittingly Grasshopper's horror title, which will be published by EA and is being developed in conjunction with Shinji Mikami.
