Natal Beautiful Katamari in Motion

The modified Xbox 360 game was available for play at TGS.

Kotaku was able to grab a short video showing off roll-play in Beautiful Katamari using Natal.

As you can see below, just pushing your hand forward makes the ball spin in one direction or another.

As a huge Katamari fan, all I can say is AWESOME. I'm hoping/assuming that after all the work that went into this, they will be releasing it alongside Natal.

This is the first application of Natal that excites me.

I'm a huge Katamari buff, I loved the first two, but haven't had a console for the others. I can say I'd definitely buy this if I had a 360, but I'm not quite sure if the motion controls here suit me. I will say, though, I'll keep my eyes open to see what becomes of this, because I could vastly be underestimating how it works.

Still, I'd say Microsoft needs to start showing us real games built from the ground up with Natal. This is another game with shoe-horned motion controls, and I'd like to see something more innovative.

M-m-m-meggggga BUMP!

I wonder if Namco has any plans to re-release this game with Kinect support, or if they have a new game planned to use Kinect specifically. Maybe E3 will reveal something new?

I'm still waiting for my MOK: Massive Online Katamari. It's going to happen some day.

I think you're missing the big opportunity that is Noby Noby Boy. The controls would be mind blowing. MIND BLOWING.

Oh snap, that would be amazing. I was reading on the Noby Noby Boy wiki that they added 2 player support - I might have to boot that one back up now. I bet it's pretty cool with another player.
