XSEED Games Offering Preorder Bonus for Fragile Dreams

A CD containing tracks from the game will be available at some retailers.

Gamers interested in the upcoming Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon should be excited to hear XSEED has announced a preorder bonus exclusively for GameStop and EB Games customers.

The bonus is a CD titled "Moonlight Tracks," and will contain twelve tracks from the game, including the opening and ending Japanese theme songs. The bonus will be first-come, first serve, but will be given together with the retail release of the game.

I think this is great news for anyone interested in XSEED's games, but I have to wonder, why limit the promotion with GameStop? Even if other brick-and-mortar stores don't offer preorders, there's several other online stores that do. I'm hoping we see more soundtracks offered for games as time passes, there definitely aren't enough.

GameStop tries to secure exclusive trinkets, dlc, or cheap promo items to boost preorders. Next to selling stuff used, pre-orders are a big profit priority for GameStop. Especially since that they will be more than happy to buy the game back from you when you are done with it and then sell it to another person used for a big profit.

I'm purchasing the game from GameStop due to a 15% code glitch that's only supposed to work on new games in stock. My order will end up cheaper than it would than any other retailer and the soundtrack is just the icing on the cake.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on this going straight to Gamestop, but it is nice that such a bonus exists.

It seems like the company that barely needs exclusive stuff to operate gets it all the time. I'd much rather see the bonus be available everywhere.
