Publisher Square Enix is now overlooking the project.

After developers GRIN were forced to shut their doors earlier this year due to lack of cash flow, many gamers worried about the future of the Final Fantasy spin-off GRIN was working on before their closure.

Today worries were set aside when Gamesindustry.biz reported that "sources close to both parties" have acknowledged that Square Enix itself is now working on the title. This event is speculated to be a core reason why GRIN was forced to close its doors for good.
