Because Capcom was kind enough to send us a 3:00 AM email, I figured I'd post it as a scoop.
Today, whatever you want to count today as, Capcom announced that Dead Rising 2 will be released on September 28th, a delay from the previously announced late-August date.
That's right, late in September, you'll be able to kill hundreds or thousands of zombies again, this time, not as a reporter who's covered wars, y'know.
I was up trying to grind through the rest of Sin and Punishment 2, and when I decided it was time to give up on finishing it tonight, I saw a gem in the ol' email inbox. Yup, Zap just sent in some reader mail/mailbag fodder.
Oh, also, Capcom sent a message to us announcing the delay. Sorry, maybe I should've focused on that, instead, for the "Our Take." Cut me some slack, I'm not really supposed to be posting anything at 3:30 in the morning.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
