I have absolutely no interest in NBA Elite but I still want NBA Jam. This announcement simply caused me to wait until the Wii version hits $20 or less.

I wonder if EA is worried that NBA Elite won't sell well so that they are throwing NBA Jam as a way to try to generate more sales especially since EA's recent NBA games have been poor or mediocre.

From various sentiments I've seen, people are going to feel ripped off in both cases. No online play for the Wii, an incomplete single-player on the other consoles. If I do get any NBA game this year, it'll be the Wii version of NBA Jam, because I'm fine without online play. A lot of people aren't though.

Don't read that into saying I plan to purchase the title, though.
