Kappa Michi Coming to DSiWare in Japan
This new title has players navigating a character throughout levels using the stylus.
Recently, Nintendo announced they were working on a new DSi title with their Studio Brownie Brown, entitled Kappa Michi.
Within this game, players will take control of a character named Kappa, who they must help navigate through a level using only the DS stylus. According to Andriasang, the literal translation for the word Michi is "road", the obvious theme for this title.
The drawn lines will indicate where Kappa will walk, however if players ever need him to stop quickly, for an enemy or obstacle, they must hit the "Quick Break" icon, which resembles a pair of scissors.
As the levels progress, players will eventually encounter a new element to the puzzle: baby Kappas who are in need of rescuing. Later on more enemies will be added to the mix, including a giant hand that will chase Kappa. Once caught, the game will end.
Kappa Michi will also include several mini-games, as well as collectibles such as music, which players can purchase using coins earned in-game.
Those interested in seeing footage of the game in action can visit the Kappa Michi site.
Kappa Michi will release on December 9 in Japan for 500 Nintendo Points.
