Steel Diver Preview

One of the more unique games to launch with the 3DS.

Steel Diver has a rather odd history. Originally a Nintendo DS tech demo, the game appeared to be one of those neat concepts that never came to fruition. A generation later the game is set to release as a 3DS launch title.

This style of game revolves around navigating units on a grid, each of which can perform certain moves and move a certain number of spaces with each turn. Enemies have similar capabilities and matches typically revolve around defeating all enemy forces, or holding them off for a certain number of turns.

Lord of Arcana Review

An awful Monster Hunter clone that is even less enjoyable than its source material.

The latest from Square Enix, Lord of Arcana, seems to set out to replicate the design of Capcom's popular series, but clearly fails in its execution. While I didn't think it could be possible, someone has managed to make a bad design worse.
