The Italian Stallion.....and Luigi.
It’s no secret that some of the best ideas started in Japan. This was certainly true of Nintendo back in the early 80’s. One of their creations was a simple arcade game, Mario Bros., featuring sibling plumbers Mario and Luigi on a quest to rid the screen of pests in the sewer pipes. Due to its success, Nintendo decided to create a bigger adventure based on the two characters for their new cartridge-based home console. Thus, Super Mario Brothers was born on September 13, 1985 in Japan and 1986 in the US, making Mario a household name along with the company that created him.
Crazy Nintendo.
Right now in Japan, monsters are battling robots. Medieval dudes with long hair are fighting fitness trainers; people are running, panicked. Super Smash Bros. 3DS has made landfall.
Psychonauts and Limbo are just the start.
The latest Humble Indie Bundle has been revealed and it brings a brand new set of five critically acclaimed titles from independent developers, which will be available until June 14. The pack includes Psychonauts, Limbo, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Anyone who pays more than the average price will also get Bastion. Additionally, all of the games' soundtracks will be included in both MP3 and FLAC formats.

We've all played this one (I hope). Super Mario Bros. 3. It's one of the top-selling games of all time, even before being rereleased. Mario first dons a power-up that lets him fly, there are colorful, challenging stages that are well designed, and there's even something of a fun and interesting narrative throughout the game. SMB 3 is a classic, and now I invite you to join me as I play through some of Super Mario Bros. 3.
